Special Volvo Box Truck Commissioned
Last Saturday, Voet put a special Volvo FH 8x2 Tridem box truck and a 3-axle GS-Meppel trailer into operation.
This unique Volvo FH 500 8x2 box truck features a 10-ton front axle, a steerable and liftable pusher axle, and a steerable and liftable tag axle. The truck’s build combines a detachable sideloader with a mounted 50-tonne-metre HMF truck-mounted crane located behind the cab. By combining these two on a single box truck, the vehicle becomes multifunctional.
The combination of sideloader and crane allows for lifting containers weighing up to 21 tonnes.
Because the sideloader is detachable, we are not limited to a fixed cargo bed size. This truck will be used for our daily transport of generators, battery systems, transformer containers, and accessories throughout the Benelux region.
