Grid operator Liander has started the conversion of a transformer station in Hoorn. The work includes installing a new transformer, switches, and the low-voltage rack. To temporarily take over the existing electrical installation during the work, we supplied two temporary power modules (provisoriums).

In any business operation, a continuous power supply is essential. The importance of this becomes even clearer when planned maintenance on the electricity grid interrupts the normal supply — as was the case for Florensis. The grid operator announced work on the cables and transformer station, which meant that the power supply from the station would need to be shut down.
Rapid Emergency Power Solution Commissioned by Enexis After Dike Breach in Maastricht
The water level of the Meuse River rose sharply, causing, among other things, a dike breach. The resulting surge of water sent a houseboat in a branch of the river adrift, which then collided with a bridge. The bridge was damaged, as was the medium-voltage cable running through it, which supplies power to the island and surrounding houseboats.

Successful Grid Takeover with the New Generation Stage 5 Diesel Engines
Last week, Voet successfully carried out the first synchronous grid takeover using two brand-new John Deere 6090CG550 Stage 5a engines. The takeover took place within the electricity network of grid operator Liander and was supervised by contractor Van den Heuvel.
